Ericka Cables, PhD, LPC, NCC, ACS
Hey there, I'm Ericka.
I am a licensed professional counselor and wellness consultant. I tailor my approach to address the unique wellness needs and cultural nuances of each individual and organization.

Through clinical supervision, I use supervision models that use relational, multicultural, and trauma-informed lenses with theoretical grounding in Person-Centered and Relational Cultural Therapies. She is trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, and has participated in several Train-the-Trainer learning sessions to bolster her professional growth. In conjunction with being a clinical supervisor and wellness consultant, she teaches master-level counselor interns.

As an avid proponent of community-based collaboration, I have made numerous wellness presentations and partnered with several agencies in the St. Louis region. I serves as Vice President for The Community Reach, a St. Louis-based nonprofit organization with a mission to impact systemic poverty through prioritization of social and emotional health.

About The Institute
As Thoughts Out Loud Counseling, we held a significant presence in the St. Louis Region, delivering direct mental health counseling services to individuals and partnered organizations since 2017.
As of January 2024, Thoughts Out Loud Counseling has undergone a transformation, evolving into the Institute of Cultural Wellness. This shift reflects a focus on wellness-oriented training and development initiatives.
